Educators and governance in the district collaborate with people from the shíshálh and Skwxwύ7mesh Nations, and with people of other First Nations, Métis and Inuit ancestry, to develop programs and support services for students. The partnership puts focus on creating equitable learning environments that:
- are culturally inclusive and responsive;
- have high and motivating expectations for all;
- build confident, optimistic learners who have a sense of belonging and identity; and
- support as well as celebrate student achievement.
